New Words in the Dictionary

In CNN there’s a wonderful story about the newest words admitted to the Merriam-Webster Dictionary. I’ve enjoyed the many new words that make it into the “Urban Dictionary”, but I guess that’s different. These are the real deal. As the article explains, sometimes the editors watch new words for decades before deeming them worthy. Yet, by the sound of some of these newest selections, mondegreen, for example, I’m wondering if they might better have stayed in teh Urban Dictionary.

Speaking of words, I’ve gotten many hours of pleasure reading the cool blog of Pyramus called Cephalogenic. Check it out.
